The mission of Community Connection is to assist and support adults with psychiatric disabilities in achieving greater independence and competence as members of the community.

Community Connection, a program of the Volunteer Centers of Santa Cruz County, serves residents of Santa Cruz County who are at least eighteen years of age, have a severe disability in at least one functional area and have been diagnosed as schizoaffective, schizophrenic, bipolar or major depressive by County Mental Health.

Services will be provided to all individuals meeting these eligability guidelines without regard to ethnicity, religion, age, disability, national origin, gender, or sexual preference. No one will be denied services because of inability to pay. The Executive Director or Board President is available at 427-5070 to speak to anyone who thinks they may have been discriminated against.

Community Connection complies with the letter and the spirit of the Americans with disabilities Act. We welcome mental health clients who also have other disabilities. This brochure is available in large print or on tape by request for the blind and visually impaired. The deaf and hearing inpaired may reach us through California Relay Service; sign language interpreters are available upon request.
